Pyranthos Astraeos Update – April 2026

A massive desert landmass added to the paid DLC. Pyranthos is not just empty sand. It brings ruins, buried pathways, hostile terrain, new enemies, artifact caves and new boss content.

The Pyranthos update added:

  • New desert landmass: Pyranthos
  • Five new Artifact Caves
  • The Minotaur Labyrinth Cave
  • The Rhyniognatha Drone Nest Cave
  • New weather system
  • Complete lighting overhaul
  • New boss fight: Manticore
  • New boss fight: Hydraskos the Unbroken
  • New miniboss: Minotarchos
  • New creature: Grand Tortugar
  • Phoenix
  • Oasisaur
  • Armadoggo
  • Desmodus
  • Megaraptor
  • Rock Drakes
  • Deathworms
  • Scorpion King and Queen
  • New skeleton enemies

These additions make Pyranthos the biggest content jump for Astraeos so far and a major reason to play the paid DLC version.

New Creatures, Bosses And Challenges

Astraeos launched with the Maeguana, an Astraeos-exclusive Maewing variant. It can glide, help with raising babies and gives the map one of its own unique tameable creatures.

The later updates added even more reasons to play, especially for tribes who enjoy boss progression and creature hunting. The paid DLC now includes encounters such as Manticore, Hydraskos the Unbroken, Minotarchos, and the earlier Kalydonios and Erymanthian double miniboss fight.

One of the standout new creatures is the Grand Tortugar, a huge mobile stronghold that can protect riders inside its armoured shell, move across land and walk along the seabed.

Lemnokis Astraeos Update – June 2025

The first major paid DLC expansion added Lemnokis, a large new landmass with beaches, redwoods, mountain ridges, temples, caves and new areas to explore. It also added The Maelstrom, more large and small caves, and an Aberration-style fertile cave with Gas Veins, Green Gems, Karkinos and Cosmo.

Lemnokis also introduced the first Astraeos double miniboss encounter: Kalydonios and Erymanthian. These two giant boars give players another reason to gear up, explore and push further into the map’s progression.

For builders and explorers, Lemnokis is one of the biggest reasons the paid version feels much more complete than the free mod.
